Today, as we sat there (at my favorite cafe), Amr and I, him at almost 23 and I at almost 22, it hit us!
It also hit us that time is passing us by, unnoticed. Like trees that flash by when you are on a train. And it shouldn't be that way for people our age. We should be enjoying every moment of it.
- This is a link to an old Egypian Coca-Cola commercial. I think it's funny, in its own way.
- I was thinking of writing another series, since mainly my boyfriend and I know a lot of very talented people. Musically and photographically, I was thinking of "featuring" them on here, because they are so good, you guys deserve to know about them. What do you think?
- Would you quit your job, knowing you wouldn't find another alternative soon? Just for the sake of having time for yourself, and actually enjoying your time? I need your help.
- My heart goes to those on the AirFrance plane that has gone missing, and their families. It is sad, I hope nothing extremely bad has happened to them.
- On a lighter note, check all them middlemen here.
- Did you know that Obama is giving his speech at Cairo Univeristy!! I am proud to be a CU graduate!

With my birthday coming up, I feel the same WAY! I love the picture of the thumb ps.
Yes we love to meet some talented people here! it would be awesome!
and again yes! I would quit my job if I really need some time for myself enjoying life... !
xo
Yes please, share your treasures of friends with us!
I know, the Air France story is making me so so sad.
Go Obama!
It's so funny, I used to say "oh that week went SO fast." or "that month just zoomed by." but now it seems that time in general has just gotten away from me.
I love the thumb pic!! That's exactly how I felt on my 22nd birthday, time is passing by way too fast when you get older. People need to realize that life is meant to be fun. Have fun while you work and have to do all the serious things. But enjoy yourselves and each other company! :D
Quit your job if it makes you unhappy; do it while you can, sweetheart. Yes, yes, and a thousand times yes. If I could go back to being young and healthy, there is a lot I would have done differently. But I mistakenly thought I had all the time in the world to be free, and then...well, before I turned 23, that all got fucked completely! So yes -- if you can do it, then do. Take your freedom while you can, beautiful.
(not that I'm at all qualified to be offering anyone advice -- as evidenced by my life *quiet laughter* but that is my opinion)
honestly, i wouldnt quit my job without a possibility on the horizon. but i think its something everyone would have to decide for themselves.
♥hi... found your blog in zebida.com and I've been following your blog for a while now...
♥if your job makes you unhappy then GO! if you truly want to enjoy, you won't regret it for sure!
A plane went missing? Oh my gosh... how sad. I will definitely be praying for them.
That thumb picture made me giggle :)
and well, with what very very little experience I have with jobs and such,
(i.e. none!),
I think just enjoying life in general is important, and if your jobs stopping you from doing that, then yes, go for it :)
And I'm praying for that plane too..
It's so devastating about the whole thing, and I hopehopehope that they are found and reunited with their loved ones asap.

That plane was flying from Brazil, my home country. I feel so sorry for all these people and families.
Don't let time pass unnoticed. There's so much to see and learn, growing old can be a blessing.

God I would love to quit my job, but I just can't afford to! I've got to pay my way and help out my family ...the recession has hit everyone hard ...sooooo depressing!
And yes, do feature all the new talent you can find!
hi....
been long since I commented here, I know :(. OK, so about the job quitting issue, forgive me 'cause I'm going to be harsh on this one, it seems to me like you're under a lot of stress, and a big good portion of it is originating from the job -yes, I know, that tedious boring numbing job, going nowhere, at least you think that is the case- and it would seem like a good idea to quit even without alternatives -yes, it boils down to one question, “why shouldn't I ? I hate it anyways.”- but the truth is, not just that this move is a career killer, but also it'll eradicate your ability to struggle, i.e. you'll find yourself going for the easy solution to all problem, which is evading 'em, and with your masters coming up -oh, yes, that is a lot of work and a lot of stress- you'll cave in under the load. So I guess what I'm saying is, if you cannot find an alternative job now, find a way to face the heat, DEMAND a growth for your current position, or at the very least, find a way to not let the stress get to you. We should as humans proceed to bigger and better places in life as time passes, not to stall, or take a single step backward. Again, I'm sorry for my harshness, I hope you can forgive me for it, but it's a necessity to be realistic about this. I trust you'll go about this wisely and weigh your options carefully. Wish you the best.
if time could slow down, i would be so happy. the older i get, the faster it goes. i'm starting to learn to enjoy moments more, because they pass more quickly now.
Love the photos! Your blog is lovely.
