Dear Summer,
You will be missed, yes, that is a sure thing. But please, stop being so hot when I am fasting? The traffic is ugly and I don't need anything to make my day any worse.
Thank you,
Sara
Anna shared this link, and I love it! I especially love this one. Because, if an entire language has no word for yesterday, why do we pay that much attention to it? Why do we worry about yesterday when there are people who have no yesterday in the language they speak?
I was the first Egyptian to take this pledge, at 2:09 AM Cairo local time, on the 9th of September, worldwide moment will take place. Take the pledge, and share your pictures. I think this will be such a great act of unity! If we do this we can do anything, really. Or it might be me, exaggerating as usual-- but I hate to think so!

I have a nagging need, a unanimous urge to travel. And it won't let go! Instead, it's growing, expanding to other places! First it was Paris, now I want to go to England, I want to go to Montreal! And Finland and Sweden and Slovenia...I could go on and on and on. France and England are where I want to go the most. I've been there before, as a child, but that doesn't count.

hm thats neat to think that that word doesnt even exist in another language. itd be nice if yesterday didnt exist in ours, we would only have the mindset to look forward. that world wide moment sounds amazing..im about to go check it out!
"if an entire language has no word for yesterday, why do we pay that much attention to it?" -such words of wisdom!!!! you are a genius, my darling!!

If you come to London, I'll serve you a nice cup o tea, made by a Brazilian, hahaha.
The thought of traveling just makes me drool; there are so many places I want to visit...like the place where that last photo was taken.
I'm with you. I'm constantly plagued by the travel bug!
i always feel that nagging need to travel, too. where would you go right now if money and school/work was no object?

I've been bitten by a traveling bug too. It's funny how here I am in England, the country that you want to come and visit, dreaming of traveling to your part of the world :)

I hope a lot of people participate in the photography thing... I think I will!
I love that eskimo thing! Thats very cool!
Goodbye summer.
xoxo
I love to travel - i caught the travel bug, and once you catch it, it's with you for life!
And how interesting that there is no word for Yesterday in the Eskimo tongue. I am going to tell my husband about this when he gets home, he loves trivia like this.

Fantastic words of wisdom! And I want to travel too!
I am going to be taking a photograph at 5:09 next Tuesday, I am.
(I'm a little bit drunk right now -- not very, but enough to mention.)
Go to London at the end of November, when I will be in London again, and then we can go have tea together, and how much fun would that be?!
(the correct answer, in case you were wondering, is Very Much Fun!)
I will bring the hand puppets...
The Worldwide Movement sounds great...thank you for "telling" me about it.
I hope that you have been well :)
its so funny that in my language (Hindi) the word for yesterday and tomorrow is the same 'kal'!! so i think they both hold equal importance but what really matters is today, right?
what a beautiful post!
that eskimo picture is lovely and your words are just wonderful :)
thanks for the list of books ... :o)
nice pictures... nice post too
i surely won't miss summer! :) well, that's a wonderful link, thank you for sharing it! it's funny that that word doesn't exist in their language. it's pretty hard to imagine how they say something about yesterday.
thank you for the lovely comment, i'm glad you liked my blog! <3
mm, i think the fact that my mother bought me my favourite ice cream would be one of the many things that made me smile today :) what a wonderful thought you shared. <3
How's your fast going!?
And oh I'm so excited summer is ending ....I can feel a chill in the air and it makes me SO happy!!!! :D
So you get cold winters in Egypt?
Oh God, there is NO way I could get through a day of work without eating at least 6 times! I think I could get it down to three and a half if I really tried!lol!!
And yeah, 20 is a really nice warm day for me! Winter time we're normally around 2 during the day and minus figures at night ....it makes me SO happy!! :)
i. am. jealous. that you live in cairo!! i have always wanted to see egypt...it seems so mysteriously beautiful! thanks for dropping by my blog; i loved reading yours! :)

P.S. Your writing is beautiful!
The link for the quote is totally amazing! It's so much fun. Thank you!
Yea, I do agree with you that we shouldn't pay that much attention on the past. But I don't want to erase it as well, cause they're all sweet memories kept in the heart -no matter how painful :p
i suppose the weather at Egypt is very very hot! Here, in the north of Spain is a little little hot but it's raining. I think i had heard something aobout this (the eskimo language)
