On having a good day

Today my cousin called me to tell me that he loves me. He made my day honestly.

I am surrounded by beautiful peopl- at work, my family and my friends (blogger friends included!). I am thankful and grateful!

Yesterday, my best friend and I had those heart-shaped shades on, she had a pink pair on, and I had a purple pair- that made me giggle. And it was fun!

I think it's our refusal to grow up that keeps us fun? I mean, the capability and ability to have fun tends to diminish as you grow older, or so I thought...and maybe still think.

I took a nap wishing so hard for something to happen, and guess what? I woke up to it happening!
That, too, made my day!

I don't know why but blogger wouldn't let me add any more photos to this post, and I am a bit sleepy to be persistant..Do you have any questions for me? And have you checked my tumblr?

I feel like I need inspiration this week, and so, I have decided not to go to work tomorrow and actually enjoy the day, and be out in the sun. And have coffee while not being in a rush. And actually have a proper breakfast!

am convinced that most people do not grow up. We find parking spaces and honor our credit cards. We marry and dare to have children and call that growing up. I think what we do is mostly grow old. We carry accumulation of years in our bodies and on our faces, but generally our real selves, the children inside, are still innocent and shy as magnolias.

We may act sophisticated and worldly but I believe we feel safest when we go inside ourselves and find home, a place where we belong and maybe the only place we really do.

I can tell you that getting older doesn't get us any closer to growing up, tried and tested! :)

We never will grow old.
I forgot the glasses in your car.
Maybe we should keep them there and wear them everyday from now on.
I love you :)

Hi. :) I'm finally back here!
Cousin's message was a God given gift. I love doing that for people so I understand how it's like to receive random messages!

Bravo for no work! I didn't go today, and that was lovely! I hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow, sip your coffee slowly for me. I'll be guzzling mine down, as I run out the door with my to-go cereal in hand.

I agree, staying young is what keeps people fun. Mr B and I don't feel responsible enough to be in serious jobs, to have a house and be married. I feel the same now as I did when I was 20... so does he. I think we'll feel like this when we're 60... all that changes is our outer shell and the wealth of experience we will gain. But hooting in the car and waving at random people to see their reaction and if they wave back will still be as fun as ever :)

I think that no one really truly grows up...they just pretend.
Sounds like you are doing well :)

I think it's our refusal to grow up that keeps us fun? I -completely- agree with you Sara. I think it's so worth it to hold onto that childlike spirit inside of us - the second we believe that bills and responsibilities are all that there is in life, we turn bitter and 'un-fun' ... and I love that t-shirt by the way. Hope you got plenty of inspiration on your day off! :)
